I apologize for the late closing notice. There was no indication of the extent of the flooding until I drove into the school at 6:30. As we drove the roads and realized the extent of flooding we began to try to work on rerouting buses but determined that we were overwhelmed with the amount needed. I also began to be concerned that the number of stops that we would have to skip due to rerouting would cause students to be waiting for a very long time until we could notify them individually. It became apparent that the safest decision was closing. Mike Hebenthal, Superintendent

Centerburg Mini Cheer Clinic
Hello,
Due to the unfortunate weather that is threatening us with snow Wednesday evening to Thursday evening, we have made the decision to move the mini cheer clinic to Wednesday February 2. Clinic will still take place from 3:15-5:30 pm at the elementary as planned. Teachers at the elementary will dismiss the students in mini cheer to the multipurpose room after school on that day. We still plan to have the performance on Friday at the JV half time. Should the game be canceled more information will be sent. Information can be found on Centerburg Local Schools facebook page as well as the Centerburg Cheerleaders facebook page.

Centerburg Local Schools still has some open positions available. We are hiring in the cafeteria as well as for teacher aides. Both of these positions are great for parents that want to work but also have the flexibility to be on the same schedule as their kids! If you or anyone you know are interested please contact the following:
Teacher aides - barb.gentille@centerburgschools.org
Cafeteria - lauren.davis@centerburgschools.org

We apologize for any confusion this morning with our new automated system. We believe we figured out the issue and should be good from this point forward. Please keep in mind we will always post to the school website, app, facebook, and the local TV and radio stations, WMVO and WNZR. Thank you for your patience as we navigate this new system!
