MS/HS Parents - We did have a false alarm with our fire system today. The building was checked by the fire dept. and secured. All kids are back in the building and safe! A huge thank you to all of our first responders for arriving so quickly!

Hello All, I wanted to send this out so that you are aware of the changes we are making in regard to how we will handle cell phones throughout the day. Cell phones have become a great distraction and take much of our attention away from what we are trying to accomplish. Please read over what I have copied below. Looking forward to seeing you all back here with us tomorrow. Mr. Morgan ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATION DEVICES (including Cell Phones) Electronic Communication Device (including cell phones) use during the school day or during any school sponsored event is regulated by Centerburg School District Policy 5136. Students are permitted to carry ECD’s on their person throughout the school day. The ECD should be put on silent mode or turned off during class time. Cell phones must be placed in the wall hangers upon entering the classroom or they may be stored in the student’s locker. Cell phones are not to be in a student’s possession during instructional time. Students may use their ECD’s during class change time, study hall (if in good academic standing) and lunch. ECD’s are not to be used during class time without the expressed consent of the classroom teacher. Disregard for these policies could result in the student being forbidden having an electronic device during the school day or school related activities. Any inappropriate use of ECD’s will be dealt with to the fullest extent allowable by Board Policy and state law. Centerburg Local Schools is not responsible for lost or stolen student electronic communication devices.

The MS football scrimmage scheduled for Wednesday August 17th vs Lucas, will now be played at Centerburg at 5pm.

The HS boys golf match vs Cardington scheduled for Wednesday August 17th has been postponed and rescheduled for Wednesday September 21st at 4pm at Kingsmill G.C.

Middle School Students: Schedules are now open on Powerschool for students who have completed Final Forms!!!! Schedule changes for band or choir may be emailed to Mrs. Love/Mrs. Ballinger or schedule request forms can be found in the office.

Reminder...Kindergarten Orientation is today, August 15, from 5:00-6:00. Open House is Tuesday, August 16, from 6:00-7:30.

MS/HS Schedule Pick Up Update - Monday - Middle school students! You may pick up during the following hours...10:00- 11:30am, 2-4pm, & 6-8pm. *Please only stop by during these hours!!! We are busy prepping for the first day and need time to complete other work as well.* HS students - If you Final Forms were completed prior to last Friday, you should now be able to view your schedule on Powerschool. You may also pick up hard copies during the time frames above if needed. 6th Grade Orientation will be at 3pm & 6pm tomorrow in the auditorium. Open House is tomorrow 6-8pm for the MS/HS. Tuesday - The MS/HS Office will be closed from 8am-12:30pm for staff meetings. Wednesday- The FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!!!

Grades 9-12 You may now view your schedules on PowerSchool. FINAL FORMS: In the event your PowerSchool still is locked, most likely it's because your Final Forms are not complete. **Request change forms are in the main office (bright orange in color). Please fill it out with as much info as you can. We will get to it as soon as possible. Thanks for being patient. This time of year tends to be more busy than normal. When/if your schedule has been changed after a form is turned in, you will be notified via email (if not in person). 👍 Thank you!!
