Centerburg Community Members, Due to incoming inclement weather, we have a change of plans for tonight's homecoming festivities. Those students participating in the parade need to meet at the HS bus lot at 6pm. Parents and guests, please park in the student / event lot. The parade will begin at 6:30pm, do a lap around the building and then we will move inside to the gymnasium. Please use the event entrance doors to access the gym. We will then have a community pep rally in the gym, present our homecoming court, and announce the queen! After that, the football team will carry on their tradition of a senior basket auction. Please come out to support our students and enjoy a nice evening celebrating as a community!

LAST CALL! Anyone interested in joining us for a field trip next week, COTC Newark will be hosting an event that highlights manufacturing careers. Lunch will be provided. Please let Mrs. Ballinger know if you are interested asap!! MANUFACTURING EXPO The Licking County Chamber of Commerce Manufacturers’ Council is hosting a “Manufacturing Day Celebration” on Wednesday, October 4. We are inviting all junior and senior high school students in the area to participate in this event! DETAILS: Where: COTC Newark Campus When: Weds. Oct 4th 10:30a-1p What to expect: COTC and C-TEC will have information tables about the different programs/pathways related to manufacturing Students will have the opportunity to meet with manufacturing companies to learn more about career opportunities. We will take students on a tour of campus and show them our laboratories! PIZZA WILL BE PROVIDED FOR LUNCH!!!

Due to a water main break and boil advisory at the HS/MS building, the water fountains will not be available for use tomorrow. Students and staff should pack water bottles to drink throughout the day. The cafeteria will make adjustments and lunch will be served like normal.

Walk, Bike, & Roll to School! Reminder! Come join the Get Healthy Knox County Coalition to walk, bike, or scooter to school from the Gazebo to the school on October 4th. See poster for details.

This morning bus 7 was rear ended on Lock Road receiving minor damage. 21 students were on board and no one was injured. Students are currently being transferred to a different bus and are on their way to school. Parents of the 21 students will receive a phone call from school personnel.

Save the date! CCP Night will be Nov. 16th @ 6pm. Any student interested in taking CCP (College Credit Plus) classes next school year, please plan on attending!! If you have already attended a meeting in the past, please plan on coming anyway because you are responsible for any/all updates to the program.

From the Food Service Department: Great news! With the new Ohio budget bill the state is going to cover the cost for reduced price breakfast and lunch. That means that all meal accounts for the 23-24 school year will either be free or full paid status. The meals application can be found in Final Forms. If you have any questions please email lauren.davis@centerburgschools.org

Final report cards for middle/high school students will be mailed home next week. If your student has any lunch fees or books to return, report cards will be held. Please email the office next week with any questions. Thank you and have a great summer!

The Elementary will be open the last day of school Thursday, May 25th! Schedule for the day: 3-5 Field Day - 8:45am - 10:45am 1st Grade Awards - 8:45am 2nd Grade Awards - 9:30am Normal Lunch times K-2 Field Day - 12:45-2:45 3rd Grade Awards - 1:15pm 4th Grade Awards - 2:00pm 5th Grade Awards - 2:30pm 5th grade Clap Out - 2:55pm We could use 4 more volunteers for the 3-5 morning Field Day. Please contact Mr. Thompson if you are able to volunteer.

The Elementary will be closed on Wednesday, May 24th. The MS/HS will be in session. Repairmen are working all day today to make repairs so that we will be open to have school on Thursday, May 25th. We plan to have Field Day and Awards Assemblies on that last day. There will be a message sent out tomorrow to confirm. Again thank you for your patience.
